ENTREPETEEN PIONEERS

Nick, the Cookie E-Teen with a Love for Sports and Cars

Meet Nick, a Grade 9 student and the founder of COOKSY, a stall dedicated to handmade cookies. His motto? “Trying is delicious.” And for Nick, that’s true in more ways than one—he picked cookies as his product because if he makes a mistake, he can just eat it! Each of his cookies is uniquely crafted, making every bite an experience.

Nick has two siblings, three dogs, and a cat, and one of his dogs is fittingly named Oreo—just like his favorite treat. When he’s not baking, he’s all about sports, with a passion for boxing, basketball, and soccer. He also has a love for cars, with big dreams of owning a Porsche one day.

Interestingly, Nick didn’t exactly sign up for Entrepeteens on his own—his mom encouraged him to join so he could learn the ins and outs of running a business. But now that he’s in, he’s fully committed and having fun with it. With his love for chocolate, shoes, and creativity, COOKSY is just the start of what could be a very sweet future for this young entrepreneur!

As a triplet, Sanchia understands teamwork and responsibility. Through Entrepeteens, she has learned how to save money so that she can buy the things she wants when she is older. Her business isn’t just about making money—it’s about developing lifelong entrepreneurial skills such as accounting, selling and packaging. Customers visiting her stall can see the dedication and creativity that go into every product, making Twinkletails a standout favourite at the market.

Sebie, a 14-year-old Grade 9 student at Centennial Schools, is a natural problem-solver with the motto “Always make a plan!” As the owner of Notsy, his stall at Entrepeteens, he’s learning how to turn his entrepreneurial efforts into real earnings—mainly to fund his love for gaming and because his mom made him! A triplet with a brother and sister, Sebie enjoys adventure, from driving cars, bakkies, quad bikes, motorbikes, and jet skis to going on holiday.

Despite his passion for gaming, he doesn’t get to play as much as he’d like, which is why he’s determined to save up for a high-end gaming PC. He admits to spending most of his money on games, and while he might hate cutting his hair, he’s embracing the entrepreneurial mindset to ensure he can afford his gaming goals. His stall, Notsy, is a reflection of his ambition and willingness to take charge of his future—one sale at a time.
