Create a listing

1. How to create a listing?

When creating your product listing on EntrepeTeens, always keep in mind that you want your product to be the first to pop up when someone is searching.  So included keywords, tags, categories, and descriptions so your product will be easy to find and displayed by search engines.

Only place words and phrases buyers will search for in your listing title – and put the rest of your information in the description.

  • Visit EntrepeTeens
  • Click on the icon “Log In” button at the top right corner of the page
  • Click on Store Manager 
  • You will be directed to your dashboard
  • Click on the Product
  • Select  – Add New button
  • Complete all the required fields for your listing

1.2 Product Name

  • Every listing has a Product name – the text that appears above the listing image on the listing page, in your shop, and in Search results.
  • Use a descriptive title to tell buyers what your item is in a few words eg: Dog bandana red stripes
  • Add the most searchable words at the front of your title.
  • Product name should be a minimum of 3 words and a maximum of 8 words.
  • Product name should in lowercase with the first letter in uppercase
  • Use a “I” instead of “-” to link your product name.
  •  Not more than 50 characters for title.

1.3 Product Description

  • Provide clear and accurate details about your product. Include relevant specifications, features, and any unique selling points to help potential buyers understand what you offer.
  • Tell a Story– engage buyers by weaving a story around the product. Describe how it came into being, its inspiration, or the problem it solves. Stories can create emotional connections and make the product more memorable.
  • Be Clear and Concise – keep the description concise while providing all the necessary information. Avoid jargon or technical terms that might confuse potential buyers. Highlight Unique Selling Points which makes it unique and use persuasive language to encourage readers to take action.
  • Be specific about what the buyer will be getting eg an A3 sized poster – black & white

1.4 Product Data

Simple or Variable product

The type of product you are creating will determine the details you need list. Only choose one of the following:

Simple This is a product that has no variables or options eg only one type
Variable This is a product that gives the buyer choices, such as colour, sizes.  Each variable is associated with its inventory and prices

Virtual or downloadable 

If you have a product that is not physical but downloadable – then click on the downloadable box e.g. Gift Card or something the customer needs to print themselves.

General 

Enter the price of your product here –  prices should be inclusive of  VAT, if applicable.

Inventory

This manages the stock items so that you do not sell something you don’t have.

SKU A unique identifiable number/words you can assign to each of your items
Stock management Only use this if you have limited number of items

Item Status – default is “In Stock”

Attributes
  • The attributes option is only available to variable products.
  • Listing attributes allow you to describe your items with distinct, detailed characteristics to help buyers get a clear idea of what you’re selling
  • Attributes include – “Material” or “Colour” or “Size” or “Fabric”
  • Click on “Add existing” and choose the attribute of your product.
Extra This allows you to set the product as New.

It also allows you to add specific text

Frequently bought together This allows you to promote your other items, which are similar.  They will be displayed under your listing

Product short description

This is a short description of your product which is displayed on your item listing.

Use bullet points to enhance your product features. For example:

  • Pet bandana
  • Red with stripes
  • Sized include XS, S, M, L, XL
  • Lightweight
  • Perfect for dogs and cats

1.5 Product Features

  • Product features refer to the specific characteristics, attributes, or functionalities of a product that set it apart from others and make it valuable to customers.
  • These are similar to attributes and are displayed on your product page.

1.6 Product Images

  • Product images are important as they shape the overall user experience.
  • Ensure your images are visually appealing, represent your product, accuracy, enhanced the product features and variations available

Recommended image details are: 

Size = 300×300 pixels

Type = JPEG

Max size = 512 MB

Product Image
  • The first photo on a listing becomes the thumbnail for this listing.
  • Click on “Set product image”and upload your main photo
  • Drag the photo you want as your thumbnail to the first photo slot.
Product Gallery
  • Add a variety of images, showcasing your product from a number of angles.
  • Click on “Add product gallery images” and upload photos
  • Drag the photo’s you want to include in your gallery.

1.7 Product Categories

  • Choose a  pre-defined categories to describe your product. For example:  Food-Condiments-Honey

1.8 Product Tags

  • Add 10 tags to your products eg organic, honey, natural
  • Add the word personalisation if your product can be personalised

1.9 Personalisation of your product

  • If you would like your product / listing to have a personalisation option – they please add “personalisation” to your tag
